Psychotherapy
I believe we are all students of the mind (whether we like it or not) and if we hone our listening ear, we can heal, grow, become less conflicted, less confused, and even a little surer about who exactly this self is who is running the show. I have been a student of mindfulness for over a decade and during that time, I have come to find that mindfulness is a skill that can be used to uncover the depths of mind, the depths that are accessible to us that is, and not a solution in and of itself. When we watch, we discover things. Maybe you discover words used to coerce yourself back into the role you have assumed since childhood. Maybe, you discover a pattern of mind that has kept you in a state of feeling stuck, or, you might realize that the problems you have been hard at solving throughout your life are not yours to solve. When we start with being an observer to emotion, thought, and action, we can then delve into the possibilities around the origins of these patterns of being so we can begin to uncover all the layers that are you.
We are fluid souls, and finding yourself on a summit now does not mean you will not cross another valley. We process experience on a developmental timeline and what you thought was resolved and done may just come back to tell you that it is not quite done, or maybe there is a new uncovering that jumps at you to look longer to truly see. The gift of this flux that we exist in is that we can always learn, always grow, and always work to become a more honest being.
My hope is for you to become curious about yourself — all of the parts and pieces of you—and for this to guide what it is that you wish to discover. It would be my honor to witness, support, guide and be with you on this journey.
